This week’s episode begins with a battle between Osman and the infidels. Malhun Hatun fights alongside Osman with the strength of a warrior.
Togay and his Nokers do not turn up to the battle and Aya Nickola has to return to Inegol Castle defeated.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 56 English Subtitles, Kalonos escapes into the woods with Savci chasing him. Kalonos corners Savci and gives him a fatal injury he then runs.
Osman chess Kalanos and catches up with him. Osman’s anger is out of control. He beats Kalonos to a pulp. He then takes him back to where he left Savci dying and propped up against a tree. Before Savci dies he passes the protection of his son Ertugrul and his wife Lena into the hands of his brother.
Savci’s death is traumatic for Osman and Gunduz. Kalonos smirks at the turk’s death. With one quick swipe of his sword Osman cuts Kalonos in half.
Meanwhile, Umur Bey will not accept that his daughter defied him and went into battle with Osman. He plans on punishing her when she returns.
Drums herald the return of Osman and his warriors after the battle. This time although the battle was victorious the cost has been great. Many men are martyred including Osman’s own brother Savci. Mourning for the dead is heard all over the nomad.
Osman cannot look Lena in the eyes. He has brought home the body of her husband. The grief is as much as Lena can stand. She has been left alone after losing Bayhoca her son and now her husband Savci
Osman tells his people that they will hold a victory ceremony while mourning the deaths of the martyrs in the nomad.
He takes baby Ertugrul in his arms. He kisses his brow. His brother has asked that he protects his son.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 56 English Subtitles, Savci is bid farewell by his family and is buried alongside his son Bayhoca.
Lena decides to leave the nomad to live in Kuluchaiser. She takes baby Ertugrul with her to live in safety of the castle.
Osman has had a victory only due to the fact that Togay didn’t join in the battle. Osman had made Togay believe that he was going to pay taxes to Geyhatu and he was obeying him.
Osman has been taught by his father Ertugrul not to fight two enemies at the same time. If Togay had joined Aya Nickola the outcome of the battle would not have been a victory for the Turks.
Aya Nickola receives 100 soldiers from the Tekfur’s to aid him in his battle against the Turks. Within 3 days he has amassed 300 soldiers.
Umur Bey punishes Malhun Hatun for uniting with Osman. Her punishment for doing this is to be banished from the tribe and sent to live with her Uncle in Enguru. She begs him not to banish her but he is adamant that she will obey him.
The traitor Petros is given to Bamsi Bey to be punished. Bamsi Bey gives him his own dagger with which he can try and kill himself with. Bamsi Bey drives the dagger deep into Petros’s body and tells him that he caused many of his men to be martyred and he has now taken their revenge.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 56 English Subtitles, Osman rides to meet with Togay. It is a dangerous move. Up to this point Togay believes that Osman will do anything he says.
Osman reminds Togay that they have a deal as far as Aya Nickola goes. Osman still pledges obedience to the Mongols because it suits him. Togay knows that Osman is just using him and lying to him. He promises one day to cut his tongue out.
Umur Bey is angry with Osman for dealing with the mongols. He has lost three sons fighting with the mongols. He does not understand why Osman unites with his enemy.
Osman is honest with Umur Bey, he tells him that he had to end the mongol alliance with Aya Nickola as they could not stand against two enemies at the one time. Umur Bey understands that this is only a game. Umur Bey swears he will keep the secret. Umur Bey tells Osman that he did not give his permission for his daughter to fight alongside him.
Meanwhile, Togay goes to see Aya Nickola. He brings with him a letter from Geyhatu giving him permission to take the taxes that the Tekfurs have collected. He also tells him that Umur Bey is now under his protection. Aya Nickola tells Togay that eventually he will be betrayed by Osman.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 56 English Subtitles, Umur Bey does not believe that he needs protection from Osman or Togay. He plans to go ahead with his original game of infiltrating Inegol Castle and making it his own.
The next day Malhun Hatun leaves to journey to her Uncle. Along the way she decides against obeying her father and turns towards the Kai nomad to say goodbye to Osman.
Osman is angry at Umur Bey for sending her away. He tells her not to go to Erguru and to stay as his guest until he sorts the matter out.
Umur Bey receives a wooden chest sent to him by Aya Nickola. Inside the chest are the heads of two of his Alps and a letter. The letter tells him that the heads are in payment for betraying him and for Malhun Hatun joining Osman in the battle against him.
Osman looks Umur Bey in the face and tells him that Malhun Hatun will not be allowed to be sent to Enguru. That night Osman dines with two women at his dining table.

Osman is told that Togay was joined by 100 more Nokers. Also the day for payment of the taxes to Togay has dawned and Osman has to make a decision what he is going to do. If he continues his game he will have to pay the taxes, if he doesn’t will be faced with a raid on his nomad by Togay.
The taxes which are to be paid to Togay are coins which were earn with the blood of his ancestors. Osman gathers up the coins and lets them fall through his fingers. He tells Togay’s mongol messenger that if he thinks that he will give these coins to Togay he is wrong.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 56 English Subtitles, Osman tells gets him to take a message back to Togay. He tells him for a Mongol to ask for taxes from a Turk is like asking a lion for its prey.
Osman tells him to return to Togay and tell him that the Kai nomad never pays taxes. He throws the messenger out of his tent. His decision has been made.
