Aya Nickola has captured Osman’s nephew Bayhoca. He plans to execute him if he does not give him back to Kuluchaiser Castle.
Osman and his Alps walk into a trap when they try to rescue Bayhoca. A savage battle occurs and Osman is made to retreat with a badly wounded Savci when he is outnumbered.
Aya Nickola discovers Osman’s two spies in Inegol Castle and executes them.
Meanwhile, Osman and his Alps arrive back at the nomad with the wounded Savci. He is taken to the healing tent for treatment. His wife Lena is hysterical to see her husband in such a condition. She blames Osman for everything.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 44 English Subtitles, Bayhoca is brought before Aya Nickola and beaten. He swears that Osman will give him Kuluchaiser Castle in exchange for his life.
Osman reveals that he had a feeling that they may walk into a trap when they left to rescue Bayhoca. His brother’s insistence that he be rescued made Osman go against his inner most feeling. Now he regrets it. He has learnt a lesson to trust his own feelings.
Osman is sent a gift by Aya Nickola. It is the body of his deaf spy Arito and Bayhoca’s armour. A sign from Aya Nickola that he means what he says when he tells him that he will kill Bayhoca if he doesn’t give him Kuluchaiser Castle. Osman does not make the decision himself and he calls a meeting of all the Beys.
Osman decides to give Kuluchaisar Castle back to Aya Nickola.
Lena sneaks out of the nomad to go to Inegol Castle to see if Flatyos will free her son. Lena and Flatyos have had a previous relationship and Flatyos loves her. She hopes that this connection will save the life of her son. She takes a vial of poison with her to use if necessary.
Osman promises the wounded Savci Bey that he will bring back both Bayhoca and Lena to him safely.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 44 English Subtitles, Meanwhile at Inegol Castle, the pregnant Lena waits in an ante-room for Flatyos. At first Flatyos thinks that Lena is there because she wants him. He walks around her and smells her scent.
Flatyos is unbelievably happy to think that Lena has come to him after all these years. Lena begs Flatyos to let her see her son. He gives in and takes her into the dungeons. Bayhoca is surprised to see his mother in the dungeons of the Castle. He asks her how she got in and how come she knows Flatyos.
Flatyos asks Lena to stay at the Castle as his woman and then he will let her son go. At this stage he doesn’t know that Lena is pregnant.
Flatyos goes to Aya Nickola and asks him for a favour for the sake of his love and let Bayhoca go.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 44 English Subtitles, Dundar Bey comes as an ambassador from Osman to tell Aya Nickola that they will exchange Kuluchaiser Castle for Bayhoca, Flatyos gets what he wants and Bayhoca will be set free.
Lena tries to take the poison she brought with her as a last resort to save herself from Flatyos but he stops her . Her continued rejection of him leads him to taking her and placing her in the same wagon that is taking her son to freedom.
Kuluchaiser Castle is prepared for the exchange. The flag of the new Islamic State that Osman created has been taken down and the christian flag flies in its place.
When the Castle looks to be secured Savci’s son and wife are released. Bayhoca feels the shame of having to be rescued when all he wanted was to be a brave Alp. He now has to face his Uncle Osman and his father. He feels embarrassed.
The soldiers in the Castle are on guard as they know that Osman will try and take the castle back.
It is not long before they feel a Turkish presence. Osman’s alps begin to appear from hidden positions within the Castle walls. They attack and ambush the Castle guards. The Castle is reclaimed after Osman battles single handedly with Alexander the Roman. He takes off his head.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 44 English Subtitles, The Islamic State flag once again flies from the walls of Kuluchaiser Castle.
Osman orders Alexander’s head to be taken back to Aya Nickola as a gift from him.
The priest Idris who is a traitor amongst the Kais has made a friend of Bamsi Bey. He takes Bamsi Bey some cream for his injured hand. He has an ulterior motive. He wants access to holy documents which are held in Osman’s tent.
Aya Nickola sends Flatyos to the Kuman Turk camp. He looks for Targun’s father but instead he finds Targun Hatun and Goktug. Targun is now head of the Kuman Turks and she and Goktug have come to Turkish lands to take their revenge on Osman.
Back at the nomad, Bayhoca awaits nervously for his father to speak with him. Savci is ashamed of his son’s behaviour which caused him so much trouble. He is also angry with Lena for going to Inegol Castle. He feels both his son and wife have dishonoured him.
In Kurulus Osman Episode 44 English Subtitles, At dinner that evening in Osman’s tent, Osman is gentle with Bayhoca but he is ordered not to do anything on his own anymore without telling his mother and father or himself. Bayhoca tells Osman that he believes he has learnt his lesson.
The “Holy Man” joins the family dinner and tells Osman that he is going to have visitors. The visitor will be Sheikh Edebali. This news makes Bala Hatun overjoyed. She has not seen her father for such a long time.
